At WWE Backlash 2024 in France, Austin Theory made headlines by reigniting his feud with boxing champion Tyson Fury. Theory publicly challenged Fury, blaming him for his failure to win the WWE Championship at Clash at the Castle 2022, where Fury had interfered. Theory taunted Fury, calling him out for a confrontation at this year’s Clash at the Castle event.
In the lead-up to Backlash, Theory also competed in a tag team match on SmackDown, where he and his partner Grayson Waller faced Kevin Owens and Randy Orton. This match played a significant role in building up the storyline for Backlash and highlighted Theory’s ongoing involvement in major WWE narratives. Austin Theory, whose real name is Austin White, is an American professional wrestler currently signed to WWE. Born on August 2, 1997, he competes on the SmackDown brand.
