When Steve Maclin made his entrance at the Rebellion PPV, he faced the ring without an opponent or a contract. After a thrilling battle against former TNA World Tag Team Champion Mike Santana, Maclin announced that he had signed a new contract with the company and was committed to one clear goal: regaining the World Championship. “I have a lot of unfinished business here and plan to get back into the TNA World Championship picture,” Maclin stated. “I’m very happy to call TNA home.”
Maclin made his professional wrestling debut in 2013 and spent about seven years with WWE before joining IMPACT Wrestling in June 2021. He has participated in some of TNA’s most memorable matches, including a Barbed Wire Massacre. As a former United States Marine, Maclin brings a level of intensity and chaos that is unparalleled in TNA/IMPACT Wrestling. His focus remains on achieving total dominance.
The highlight of Steve Maclin’s career came at Rebellion 2023, when he defeated KUSHIDA to win the TNA World Championship for the first time. However, his reign was cut short when he lost the title to Alex Shelley at Against All Odds, ending his championship run at 54 days. After a brief hiatus due to injury, Maclin returned to the Impact Zone with renewed determination. He has since feuded with Nic Nemeth, teamed up with The Rascalz, and faced Frankie Kazarian. Despite these challenges, his ultimate aim is to reclaim the TNA World Championship from Moose.
