TNA Wrestling has unveiled significant leadership changes, including the appointment of Carlos Silva as the new TNA President, following Anthony Cicione’s departure from the role. Additionally, Josh Mathews and Christy Hemme have left the company. TNA issued the following statement:
“Carlos Silva has been appointed as the new President of TNA Wrestling. George Veras has been named Executive Producer of the Anthem Sports Group. A 10-time Emmy Award winner, Veras serves as President and CEO of Pro Football Hall of Fame Enterprises and President of Veras Communications, Inc.
Josh Mathews and Christy Hemme are no longer with the company. We appreciate their contributions to TNA over the years and wish them success in their future endeavors.”
Josh Mathews (real name Joshua Matthew Lomberger) is a professional wrestling commentator, best known for his work in TNA/Impact Wrestling. He originally gained fame as a contestant on WWE’s Tough Enough reality show in 2001 and later worked as a commentator for WWE before joining TNA (now Impact Wrestling) in 2014.
Christy Hemme is a former wrestler, ring announcer, and model, best known for winning the 2004 WWE Diva Search. She later joined TNA, where she wrestled before becoming a key figure in the Knockouts Division and backstage production.
Leadership Restructure
With his new appointment, Carlos Silva assumes leadership of TNA, while Anthony Cicione will transition to a different role within Anthem Sports & Entertainment. Meanwhile, George Veras has been named Executive Producer of Anthem Sports Group. With extensive experience in broadcasting—including work with ABC Sports, NBC, CBS’ NFL Today, the Cleveland Browns, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame—Veras will oversee TNA’s production operations and is expected to build his own team.
Mark Brown, a former director for Ring of Honor during its Sinclair Broadcast Group era, has also joined TNA as a Director. Brown, who has worked on New Japan Pro Wrestling’s U.S. events, has already been involved in recent TNA productions.
Talent Relations Updates
TNA has also made key promotions within its Talent Relations department:
- John E. Bravo (John Mellnick) longtime backstage figure and on-screen talent, has been given an expanded role in Talent Relations.
- Ingrid Isely, currently TNA’s floor manager, will take on greater responsibilities within the department.
Both promotions have been well received internally. Gail Kim will continue to lead the Talent Relations department, overseeing all talent operations
